Homework #2 Mac vs. PC (Windows Vista)
I like this advertisement a lot, because it has some well thought humor in it. This would definitely give me a reason to buy a Mac rather than a PC. The reason why it catches my attention are the funny comments that are made about each others product. While knowing that its an Apple commercial for Mac's, its funny to watch the competition that the PC world has created with the Apple world. This ad has indeed given me the more reason to purchase this product. The ironic thing is, I even own a Mac now. I definitely think that this is an effective ad. The whole Mac vs PC commercials are all very brilliantly put together and well thought out. And have given many customers more reasons why Macs are better than PC's.

Good choice, I haven't seen this one yet. I love how simple these commercials are. After switching from a Mac to a P.C. running Vista I can totally relate to this commercial. I love the ending.
ReplyDeleteI absolutely love the Mac vs. PC commercials. I've seen all of them after visiting the apple website and every single one I find humorous! I had already made my mind up about buying a Mac, long before these commercials ever aired, but for people who are uncertain about whether to purchase a Mac or a PC, these commercials could potentially seal the deal.
ReplyDeleteThese are all great. I really think these are truly brilliant, because they actually show how bad PC's are without being real technical. They are funny and make it easy for normal people to see that PC's are difficult

ReplyDeleteI've always liked these commercials. It really shows the competitive world of marketing, but it also shows how important it is to be the best. I don't have a Mac computer, but maybe... one day I'll buy one. Their wit and accuracy is what impresses me
ReplyDeleteOf all the Mac commercials out there, this is maybe one of my least favorites. I don't know why but it seems boring to me. I know the Mac ads are usually kind of plain, but I just didn't see anything special about this one.
ReplyDeleteI love Mac commercials. They are so simply done, but they don't need to be complicated. All of their ads get the message across. Last year at Halloween, I saw two guys dressed up like the Mac and PC guys. It was hilarious. I bet Mac would have loved to see that.
ReplyDeleteGood choice, this commercial is really funny. I like Mac vs. PC commercials because they are SO clever...which is just the audience they want to target. And I agree that they are really simple. I think the Mac guy said what, a couple sentences in this commercial? If I had the money I would get a Mac.
ReplyDeleteThese mac commercials always seem to be pretty clever. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. I think this commercial is somewhat effective, but I deffinately think the image of mac is better than for pc's so in that respect it is very effective.
ReplyDeleteI really like this commercial, apparently a lot of people do too. The mac commercials are very simple but get the point across. I think they choose the all white background to represent the way their computer look. Like for example, the all white mac books.
